Credence Consulting is seeking a meticulous Finance Assistant Manager to join our internal finance team in Malaysia. The role focuses on financial accounting, fund management, and regulatory compliance with MFRS and SFRS standards, supporting consulting engagements across asset management, insurance, and fintech clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent (CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting/fund accounting.
• Experience with non-bank financial institutions (asset management, insurance or fintech) desirable.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian and Singapore tax law, Companies Act 2016, regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in accounting software (SQL, UBS, Xero, ERP).
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations and monthly/annual closings.
• Prepare financial reports, management accounts, and statutory filings (MFRS/SFRS).
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for audits and compliance.
• Track client-related fund flows and project profitability.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and cash flow management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Mentor junior staff and strengthen internal controls.
