Job summary

YCSG Industrial Sdn Bhd in Bukit Minyak, Penang, is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 5–7 years post-qualification experience, knowledge of MFRS and SST, ERP implementation exposure, strong Excel, and proven leadership of accounting teams.

About the role

YCSG Industrial Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join our growing team in Bukit Minyak, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing the financial health and accounting operations of our organisation. As Finance & Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role is integral to supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining the financial integrity of the company.

Key responsibilities

Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and journal entries

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other applicable accounting standards

Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintenance of comprehensive financial records

Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation and schedules

Oversee tax compliance matters, including income tax returns, sales and service tax (SST) filings and other statutory requirements

Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance

Prepare management accounts and provide financial analysis to support business planning and decision-making

Supervise and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, training and performance management

Monitor cash flow, manage bank reconciliations and optimise working capital management

Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, tax authorities and regulatory bodies

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

Professional accounting qualification such as Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is highly desirable

Minimum 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements

Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, with demonstrated experience in ERP implementations

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights

Proven experience in managing and leading accounting teams effectively

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to senior management

Ability to work methodically under pressure and manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining accuracy

Knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures and risk management practices is advantageous
