Job summary

BAOSTEEL CAN MAKING (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an Assistant to handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

The role involves preparing customer invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and following up on pending orders with logistics to ensure timely invoicing. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accountancy, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with management and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent.
• Fluent in Mandarin preferred for dealing with Mandarin-speaking teams and clients.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer invoices according to accounting procedures.
• Identify and investigate invoice discrepancies to ensure charges accuracy.
• Follow up on pending Delivery Orders with logistics to issue invoices on time.
• Manage Accounts Receivable ledger and files.
• Follow up on overdue payments from customers.
• Verify supplier invoices and perform 3-way matching with PO, DO and purchase agreements.

Job description

Assistant to handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

Key responsibilities

Prepare customer invoices based on accounting procedures

Identify and investigate discrepancies in invoices to determine the accuracy of charges

Follow up on the pending list of Delivery Orders with logistic personnel to issue invoices to customers on time

Manage Accounts Receivable ledger and Accounts Receivable files

Follow on overdue payments from customers

Verify supplier invoices and perform 3-way matching with PO, DO, and purchase agreement and identify discrepancies

Perform customers' and suppliers' invoice data entry in the accounting system

About you

Possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent

Fluent in Mandarin preferred as the role requires dealing with Mandarin‑speaking management teams and clients

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
