Job summary

China Construction Development (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Account Executive to manage accounting records and prepare financial reports, supporting daily finance operations with accuracy and compliance.

The role requires at least 3 years in accounting or finance, strong MS Office skills, and fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. Multitasking and independent work are valued in this position within our finance team.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
• Experience in an accounting or audit firm is an added advantage.
• Experience in handling a full set of accounts and preparing final accounts is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of audit and taxation is preferred.
• Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly accounts and financial reports for management review.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Monitor and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL).
• Perform monthly vendor and inter-company account reconciliations.
• Assist in audit processes and provide the necessary supporting documents.
• Assist with tax-related matters, including Withholding Tax (WHT) submissions.
• Ensure timely submission of tax documents and compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage daily tasks independently and prioritize work effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or immediate superior.
