Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an Field Service Technician (Electrical Background) in Malaysia to perform field service jobs, ensure customer satisfaction, and comply with safety standards. You will work with Service Engineers and maintenance schedules to deliver tasks on time.

Responsibilities include submitting service reports in SAP, conducting testing and failure analysis, maintaining PPE and tools, keeping facilities and vehicles in 5S condition, and participating in safety training to meet EHS

Qualifications

• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
• Min Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Perform field service jobs in a timely manner and ensure fulfilment of daily service tasks to customers' satisfaction and in meeting department's sales targets.
• Submit complete and accurate service reports to the department's coordinator and capture hours and travelling hours into SAP.
• Conduct testing and equipment failure analysis to improve and stabilize equipment performance during service tasks; make recommendations for parts when necessary.
• Maintain allocated service tools and all PPE issued in accordance with EHS standards and company policies.
• Maintain the upkeep of service facilities and service vehicles according to 5S standards and recommend repair/servicing as required.
• Participate in periodic service and safety training to ensure up-to-date product knowledge and to meet industry EHS requirements.
• Perform field activities according to EHS procedures and standards to achieve required safety standards.

Perform field service jobs as assigned and ensure that job execution results in customer satisfaction as well as in compliance with all safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Perform assigned field service jobs and/or according to maintenance schedule in a timely manner and submit complete documentation to Service Engineer to ensure fulfilment of daily service tasks to customers' satisfaction and in meeting department's sales targets

Complete and submit service reports timely to department's coordinator for capturing of hours and travelling hours into SAP for analysis as and when required

Conduct testing and equipment failure analysis on customers' equipment in order to improve and stabilize equipment performance during service tasks assigned, including making recommendations for parts whenever necessary

Maintain allocated service tools and all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued in accordance to required EHS standards and company policies

Maintain the upkeep of service facilities and service vehicles according to 5S standards and recommend repair and servicing as and when required

Participate in periodic service and safety training as scheduled to ensure constant update of product knowledge as well as to meet industry's EHS statutory requirements in carrying out related field activities

Perform field activities according to EHS procedures and standards in order to achieve required safety standards

Qualification/Education:

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
