Job summary

ABB is hiring for a technical service professional to perform field service on DCS/PLC systems across APAC, based in Malaysia or nearby countries. You will troubleshoot, service, and commission equipment in hydro power plants and industrial facilities, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring safety and quality.

The role involves hybrid work with onsite client sites in the APAC region. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and have 3+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering with minimum 3 years of hands-on field service experience in PLC/DCS troubleshooting, maintenance and commissioning.
• Proven expertise servicing multiple DCS system types with strong understanding of hydro power processes and experience in power plants or industrial facilities.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills and ability to document, report, and analyze technically.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute service work per customer order and expectations to maintain satisfaction.
• Deliver superior customer experience and communicate timelines clearly while onsite.
• Perform field service tasks, troubleshoot issues, and analyze remotely or onsite for certified products.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability and quality of parts and equipment.
• Plan and execute work with a first-time-right approach, meeting quality standards and timelines.
• Identify improvement needs and propose practical solutions to enhance operations.
