Job summary

ARIF WKV SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Inspector of Work (Civil & Structural) for full-time on-site duties in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

You will inspect civil and structural works, ensure compliance with plans, and uphold safety and quality standards across Tambunan and Keningau regions. The role requires 2–3 years in inspection or site supervision, with strong knowledge of local codes and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a construction inspector or site supervisor in civil and structural projects.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of civil and structural works at project sites to verify compliance with drawings, specs, and building regulations.
Document inspection findings, identify defects or non-conformances, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to communicate inspection results and coordinate remedial works.
Monitor materials testing and quality control to ensure project requirements and standards are met.
Verify safety protocols and risk management are implemented correctly on-site.
Maintain inspection records, photos, and test results for audits and compliance.
Attend site meetings and progress reviews to provide updates on inspection findings and project status.
Support certification and handover documentation for completed works.
Escalate significant structural concerns or safety risks to senior management.
