Job summary

VOLTAKE ENERGY SERVICES SDN BHD is hiring a Safety Officer to ensure a safe, healthy and compliant working environment across our plant and sites in Malaysia. You will implement HSE policies, conduct inspections, and lead safety training to prevent incidents.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in OSH or related field, SSS certification, and 2–5 years of relevant experience. Travel to project sites may be needed and opportunities for promotion are available.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification is required.
• Green Book / DOSH / NIOSH certification will be an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in Safety / HSE, preferably in construction, engineering, electrical or renewable energy projects.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety practices, risk assessment and emergency procedures.
• Good communication, reporting and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and conduct regular site visits.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and prepare safety reports
• Conduct safety audits and monitor compliance with company SOPs and safety requirements
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure compliance with safe working practices
• Coordinate emergency response activities and emergency preparedness
• Identify workplace hazards and assist in risk assessments and implementation of control measures
• Maintain proper HSE records, reports and documentation
• Support safety training and awareness programmes
