Job summary

Monolithic Power Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Field Application Engineer (FAE) to serve as the technical interface between customers and the company, driving design-in activities and enabling adoption of MPS products in customer applications.

The FAE will work closely with sales, R&D, and customers, delivering demonstrations, training, and market feedback to help shape new product directions and support channels in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of power electronics products.
• Familiar with analog control and basic digital control of power supplies.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work ability.
• Strong learning ability to quickly learn new products, applications, and markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and resolve technical issues.
• Support design-in and design-win activities, including schematic reviews and component selection.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training to customers and distributors, as well as internal sales teams.
• Provide feedback to Product Line marketing and R&D on market trends and new product directions.

Job description

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) serves as the technical interface between customers and the company, providing expert support for MPS products. The FAE works closely with sales, R&D, and customers to drive design-in activities, resolve technical issues, and enable successful adoption of MPS products in customer applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to customers and solving technical issues.
• Support design-in and design-win activities, including schematic reviews, component selection, and system optimization.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training to customers and MPS's distributors as well as internal sales teams.
• Provide internal team (Product Line marketing & Application teams) with feedback on market trends, competitor information, and new product definition directions.

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of power electronics products, familiar with common medium- and low-power topologies, and an understanding of common high-power topologies.
• Familiar with analog control and basic digital control of power supplies.
• Strong ability to analyze problems independently and proactively solve problems.
• Strong learning ability, with the capability to quickly learn new products, applications, and markets.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Education:

This position requires a technical degree (minimum bachelors), in an engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred)
