Job summary

IMAS International School in Kajang, Selangor, is seeking a dedicated Female PE/CCA Teacher for our secondary team. You will develop students' physical fitness, athletic abilities, and co-curricular skills while delivering engaging PE lessons and leading various activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Physical Education or related field, a recognized teaching qualification, and 2–3 years' secondary PE experience in an international school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related discipline.
• Teaching qualification or certification recognised in Malaysia or internationally.
• Minimum 2-3 years' teaching experience in secondary physical education.
• Strong knowledge of PE curriculum frameworks and pedagogy.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor students in various sports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver comprehensive physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Organise, coach and supervise co-curricular activities, sports teams and programs.
• Assess and evaluate student progress in PE and CCA, maintaining records and feedback.

About the role

IMAS International School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Female PE/CCA Teacher to join our secondary education team. This is a full-time position based in Kajang, Selangor, where you will play a vital role in developing students' physical fitness, athletic abilities, and co-curricular skills. As a PE/CCA Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging physical education programmes whilst also leading and coordinating co-curricular activities that foster personal growth, teamwork, and leadership amongst our students. This role is integral to our commitment to providing holistic education and developing well-rounded individuals.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver comprehensive physical education lessons that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning abilities

Organise, coach and supervise co-curricular activities, sports teams and athletic programmes

Assess and evaluate student progress in PE and CCA participation, maintaining detailed records and providing constructive feedback

Manage sports equipment and facilities, ensuring safety standards are consistently maintained

Coordinate and oversee inter-school competitions, sports days and athletic events

Develop training programmes to enhance student performance and skill development in various sports

Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive environment that encourages student participation and engagement

Collaborate with fellow staff members to integrate PE and CCA activities with broader school initiatives and pastoral care

Maintain accurate attendance and behaviour records for all CCA sessions

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and involvement in physical activities

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related discipline

Teaching qualification or certification recognised in Malaysia or internationally

Minimum 2-3 years' teaching experience in secondary physical education, preferably in an international school setting

Strong knowledge of PE curriculum frameworks and best practices in physical education pedagogy

Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor students in various sports and athletic disciplines

Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously

Passion for promoting health, fitness and wellbeing amongst young people

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents and colleagues

First Aid certification and/or CPR qualification (preferred)

Ability to create an inclusive, motivating and safe learning environment

Proficiency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage
