Qualifications

• Minimum experience as Factory/Production supervisor in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong technical knowledge of electronics production processes and equipment.
• Solid understanding of QA standards and testing methods.
• Proven leadership of diverse teams on the factory floor.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and production specs.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance.
• Experience with ERP/production management systems.
• Diploma/Bachelor in Manufacturing Eng or Electronics.
• Supervisory or quality control certification is a plus.

• Supervise factory floor operations, including scheduling, task allocation, and team coordination to meet production targets.

• Perform technical troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment to minimise downtime.

• Train and develop factory staff on procedures, safety, and quality standards.

• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance within the facility.
• Liaise between production, QA and engineering to resolve issues.
• Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Report on production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and suggest solutions.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Factory Supervisor Cum Product Technician to join Tronas Electronic Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that combines supervisory responsibilities with technical expertise in product manufacturing and quality assurance. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will bridge the gap between factory floor management and technical product knowledge, ensuring optimal production efficiency, quality standards, and team performance. This role is strategic to our manufacturing operations, directly impacting our delivery timelines, product quality, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage factory floor operations, including scheduling, task allocation, and team coordination to meet production targets and deadlines
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Perform technical troubleshooting and diagnostics on manufacturing equipment and processes to minimise downtime
• Maintain accurate production records, documentation, and quality control reports
• Train and develop factory staff on production procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing facility
• Liaise between production, quality assurance, and engineering departments to resolve technical issues
• Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate with maintenance teams
• Report on production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to senior management

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Factory Supervisor, Production Supervisor, or similar supervisory role in electronics manufacturing or related industries
• Technical knowledge of electronic product manufacturing processes, equipment, and assembly techniques
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and product testing methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a technical background
• Knowledge of relevant manufacturing standards and compliance requirements (such as ISO certifications)
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and production specifications
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Computer literacy and experience with production management systems or ERP software
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Certification in supervisory management or quality control is advantageous
