We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Factory Manager to lead our factory operations and drive productivity, quality, cost efficiency, employee discipline, and continuous improvement.
The Factory Manager will be responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, food safety requirements, manpower needs, safety standards, and operational objectives are achieved.
The successful candidate must be a strong leader who is able to manage production teams, coordinate across departments, resolve operational issues, and ensure that factory activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FACTORY OPERATIONS
- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the factory;
- Ensure production activities are planned and executed according to production schedules;
- Monitor production output, efficiency, downtime, wastage, and overall productivity;
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources;
- Identify operational issues and implement timely corrective actions.
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
- Plan and monitor production activities to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets;
- Improve production efficiency and minimize downtime, wastage, and production losses.
- Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, work instructions, and production procedures.
- Review production performance and provide regular reports to Management.
PEOPLE & MANPOWER MANAGEMENT
- Lead, supervise, and develop factory employees and production teams.
- Ensure adequate manpower allocation according to production requirements.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, performance, and compliance with company rules.
- Build a positive, disciplined, productive, and professional working environment.
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
- Ensure factory operations comply with workplace safety requirements and company safety policies.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure employees follow safety procedures.
- Ensure machinery, equipment, production areas, and working conditions are properly maintained and safe.
COST & PRODUCTIVITY CONTROL
- Monitor production costs, material usage, wastage, and other operational expenses.
- Implement measures to minimize material wastage, rework, downtime, and production losses.
REPORTING & MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
- Prepare regular factory performance reports for Management.
- Provide updates on production performance, manpower, quality, downtime, wastage, safety, and operational issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Business Management, or a related field;
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in factory / manufacturing operations, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience in managing production teams and factory manpower.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, factory operations, quality control, and workplace safety.
