Jora Malaysia is seeking a factory layout design engineer to design and optimize facility layouts, improve material flow, and lead layout projects from concept to execution. You will collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure safe, efficient layouts that meet budget and schedule targets.
The role requires a strong background in industrial or manufacturing engineering, 3+ years in layout design, and proficiency with AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

Factory Layout Design & Optimization:Design and implement facility layouts to improve production processes and material flow.
Workflow Improvement:Conduct time and motion studies, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis to reduce waste, downtime, and bottlenecks.
Equipment & Machinery Planning:Plan for the installation, layout, and commissioning of new machinery to ensure it fits into the overall production system.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Coordinate with production, engineering, maintenance, and safety teams to align layout changes with production goals and safety standards.
Project Management:Lead layout improvement projects, from concept to execution, ensuring they are completed within budget and schedule.
Documentation & Standards:Create detailed CAD drawings, floor plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for layout changes.
Safety & Ergonomics:Ensure all layout designs comply with safety regulations (e.g., OSH) and improve ergonomic conditions for operators.

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
