Job summary

Linergy Power Sdn Bhd, a fast-growing lithium-ion battery manufacturer in Malaysia, seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to shape factory capacity, workshop layout, logistics flow and automation roadmap. This role turns complex operational needs into practical, cost-efficient factory solutions with impact.

Responsibilities include capacity planning, layout optimisation, manpower/equipment/resource planning and driving productivity through automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years' experience in factory/workshop layout planning, capacity planning, facility planning or on-site continuous improvement.
• Practical knowledge of Industrial Engineering methodologies, such as time study, motion study, line balancing, value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen and the Eight Wastes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to independently develop layout drawings, improvement proposals and implementation plans.
• Strong cost awareness, analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Effective cross-functional communication and project coordination skills.
• Proficient in both Mandarin and English for communication with local teams and Group stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop capacity and resource plans aligned with business and Group strategic requirements.
• Lead factory and workshop layout planning, including functional zoning, building arrangement, warehouse and internal logistics flow.
• Work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Logistics and other functions to plan manpower, equipment and material resources.
• Drive productivity and cost-improvement initiatives through manpower optimisation, resource utilisation, line-capacity improvement and logistics-route optimisation.
• Identify automation opportunities, develop proposals, coordinate implementation resources and improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct site assessments and translate operational challenges into practical improvement plans.
