Job summary

Maukerja Malaysia is seeking a General Manager to oversee the factory's overall operation and performance in Johor, Malaysia. You will lead production, quality, safety, and delivery alongside a development-focused team.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, improving productivity, and driving profitability while ensuring ISO compliance and strong supplier/customer relationships. A minimum 10 years in manufacturing with 5 in management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering/manufacturing or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a management role.
• Experience in plastic injection molding and assembly manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plastic injection molding and assembly production activities.
• Ensure production targets and customer delivery schedules are met.
• Improve productivity, efficiency, and machine utilization.
• Monitor production performance and resolve operational issues.
• Lead and develop department managers and employees.
• Build a high-performance, safe workplace culture.
• Manage factory budgets and operating costs.
• Drive cost reduction and profitability improvement initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions when needed.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and logistics functions.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.
