Job summary

CryoCord Sdn Bhd in Cyberjaya seeks a proactive Deputy Head of Facility to oversee maintenance, calibration, and safety across laboratories. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, monitor gas and LN2 levels, and ensure CCTV/SCADA systems operate reliably to support GMP-like operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Science or Engineering, can lead a team, and communicate in English. Fresh graduates are welcome; locally based professionals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Facility Division on a wide range of maintenance tasks.
• Deliver high-quality facility management services ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and keep equipment certifications up to date.
• Perform internal maintenance and calibration of lab instruments.
• Monitor LN2 levels weekly and gas farm daily.
• Oversee CCTV/SCADA systems and ensure alarms work reliably.
• Validate new equipment and facilities; ensure SOPs are followed.
• Train and supervise lab personnel in maintenance activities.
• Prepare purchasing proposals and manage facility budget.

Job description

Assist the Head of Facility Division on the following matters (but not limited to):-

Deliver a high-quality facility management services that supports the needs of the Management in ensuring effectiveness and compliance.

Coordinate scheduled/preventive maintenance of all equipment and ensure that the certifications are up to date.

Perform internal maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment as and when necessary.

Coordinate and liaise with external suppliers for external calibration of equipment and facility.

Monitor the liquid nitrogen level in storage tanks on weekly basis.

Monitor the gas farm on daily basis i.e. CO2 and bulk liquid nitrogen level, etc.

Ensure that the laboratory closed-circuit television (CCTV) and SCADA system are working well at all times.

Conduct maintenance and periodical check on all facilities and alarm systems from time to time.

Act as the Deputy of Environment to ensure overall cleanliness and orderliness of all sites (internal and external) the laboratory.

Conduct validation for all new and existing equipment and facilities.

Responsible to schedule routine cleaning every month in the facility.

Rapidly response to unplanned maintenance activities and perform or oversee required servicing.

Communicate and negotiate with third party service providers for the best solutions for laboratory.

Ensure that all documents i.e. service reports, certificates, etc. are properly filed and maintained in the files allocated for each laboratory equipment respectively.

Ensure that equipment are maintained cost effectively and in accordance with the recommended practices by the manufacturers.

Introduce cost-saving initiatives within management role of the facilities.

Prepare proposals on relevant purchasing and maintenance matters to the Management to ensure consistency is achieved and efficiently manage budget and expenditure.

Train and supervise new laboratory personnel on maintenance of facility and laboratory equipment.

Carry out the environmental testing for the Clean Room.

Provide input for and execute validation training materials validation training materials.

Coordinate with superior and Quality Department to oversee compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System and also applicable regulations and standards.

Participate in internal and external audits, as well as inspections by the authorities.

Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the department are in place and reviewed from time to time.

Adhere to the SOP at all times as well as ensure compliance with the safety and health regulations of the laboratory at all times.

Ensure that the policies, processes, programmes, procedures and instructions are documented, implemented and communicated to all relevant personnel.

Assist in research activities carried out by the Company from time to time

Ensure that the quality policy is understood, implemented and adhered to by all levels of employees.

Carry out activities in compliance with the Company’s quality policy, the requirements of the Company’s Quality Management System and the requirements of regulations governing the laboratory testing and manufacturing i.e. ISO15189, cGMP, cGCP, cGTP, etc.

Maintain all standards as per requirements of the ISO15189, MOH License, cGMP, cGCP, cGTP and other certifications/accreditations.

Manage all subordinates in a professional and motivating manner.

Provide training, guidance, supervision and identify staff development needs and propose development plans for improving efficiency and future career paths.

Assist relevant Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) in providing their services to the clients.
