Job summary

DCD Technology Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer to operate and manage critical facilities, diagnose hardware/software issues, and coordinate with vendors for installation and maintenance.

You will maintain records, lead 24x7 shift duties, ensure uptime and safety, and enforce compliance with PTW, MOP, EOP, and HIRARC. A Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or professional certificate in Electrical/Mechanical engineering is required.
• 2-3 years in Data Centre/Engineering (fresh graduates encouraged).

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage all critical infrastructure and building facilities within the data centre.

• Lead 24x7 shift and standby duty; ensure continuous uptime and safety.

• Manage incidents, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Handle change management for maintenance, upgrades and operational changes.
• Prepare monthly customer reports and meetings.
• Implement security protocols and access control; monitor power distribution and reliability.

Job description

To operate and manage all critical infrastructure and building facilities within the data centre.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and infrastructure issues.

Maintain records of equipment configuration, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.

Coordinate with vendors for equipment installation and maintenance.

Incident escalation and 24x7 shift & standby duty.

Ensure continuous uptime, operational efficiency and safety of the facility by managing teams, contractors and vendors through effective implementation of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance programs.

Design new processes (SOP) or procedures across the facility.

Manage service levels to meet contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Enforce strict compliance with site safety procedures, data centre protocols. and operational procedures such as Permit to Work (PTW), Method of Procedure (MOP), Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP), and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC).

Manage incidents, lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Change management processes related to maintenance, upgrades and operational changes.

Monthly customer reporting and meeting.

Implement and uphold security protocols and access control measures to protect the data centre.

Monitor and manage power distribution systems for redundant and reliability.

Ensure adherence to industry standards, certifications and compliance requirements (eg. TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ISO standards, and local regulations).

Prepare documentation as per compliance requirement.

Requirement:

Have a good team work attitude, reliable and responsible personality with minimize supervision.

Able to work well under pressure.

24x7 shift & standby duty.

Qualifications:

Diploma / Professional Certificate in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.

2-3 years working experience in Data Centre/Engineering industry, fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.
