Job summary

Farben is seeking a diligent engineer to support the daily operation of data centre infrastructure in Johor. You will assist in change management, incident handling and preventive maintenance follow-up, while helping monitor power distribution and cooling capacity.

You will participate in server room construction, coordinate with COLO providers, and work with teams to collect data and prepare operation reports. Fresh graduates are welcome and familiarity with MEP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; internship in data centre or MEP is a plus.
• Understanding of UPS, generators, chillers and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operation of datacentre critical infrastructure.
• Monitor power distribution and cooling system capacity.
• Participate in facility improvement projects and routine operational tasks.
• Assist in new serverroom construction and commissioning work.
• Coordinate with COLO service providers to monitor key equipment maintenance, support incident response and SLA performance tracking.
• Work with internal teams to collect operational data, build performance records and prepare regular operation/maintenance reports.

Participate in facility improvement projects and assist IT Manager with routine operational tasks.

Job requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering majors.

Fresh graduates are welcome;

relevant internship experience in data centre, factory facility or MEP field is a plus. Basic understanding of MEP equipment such as UPS, generators, chillers and cooling systems.

Good safety awareness and sense of responsibility.

Able to communicate effectively in English or Malay. Meticulous, good at spotting potential risks and willing to follow through to resolve issues.
