Job summary

Sinergia Talents Sdn Bhd seeks a Facility Leader to oversee the repair, maintenance, and strategic management of plant equipment and assets in Penang, Malaysia. You will drive reliability, safety, and cost efficiency while leading a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 5+ years in hands-on maintenance and 3+ years in a managerial capacity, with proven budget planning and cross-functional collaboration. ISO/UL standards familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or CS)
• 5+ years hands-on experience with repairs/maintenance; 3+ years in management
• Strong budgeting, planning, and scheduling of maintenance activities
• Experience with cross-functional teams and staff coaching/mentoring
• Familiarity with safety/environmental standards such as ISO 13849-1, UL, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Facility strategy to ensure asset longevity
• Lead and supervise Facility technicians, engineers, and staff; recruit and evaluate performance
• Oversee repairs, maintenance, and upgrades; coordinate with contractors/suppliers
• Manage Facility budget and allocate resources effectively
• Maintain inventory of equipment and spare parts; ensure readiness
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and audit requirements
• Maintain maintenance records and relevant reports for audits
• Identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities in Facility processes
• Support DOSH, DOE, OSHA and fire department requirements
• Manage building-related CAPEX projects
