Job summary

JLL in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Facilities I&C Engineer to support instrumentation and control systems across our high‑tech manufacturing facility and on‑site Data Center. You will manage sensors, transmitters, flow meters, and control loops, ensuring reliability of HVAC, utilities, and environmental systems.

You will optimize Building Management Systems, EMS, and SCADA, develop SOPs, perform testing and commissioning, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to drive energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant facilities I&C engineering experience in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience with BMS, EMS, SCADA, and PLC/DCS systems.
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation for HVAC, utilities, and cleanroom.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo) for maintenance tracking.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Able to support 24/7 operations as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation, calibration, and maintenance of facility instrumentation such as sensors, transmitters, flow meters, and controllers.
• Oversee and optimize BMS, EMS, and SCADA for real-time monitoring and control.
• Ensure integration of instrumentation for HVAC, utilities, and cleanroom systems.
• Develop, validate and implement engineering solutions and SOPs.
• Plan and conduct testing, commissioning, and simulations; support audits and CAPA.
