Job summary

Flex is seeking a Facilities Engineer in Prai, Penang to apply engineering principles to design, modify and develop facilities, testing machines and processes used in manufacturing products. The role supports ongoing operations and potential transition activities related to corporate spin-off planning.

The successful candidate will research equipment specifications, assess feasibility of new plant facilities, and work with teams to ensure efficient manufacturing and long-term planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs.
• Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, space, time limitations and other factors.
• Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing techniques, materials and process advantages and limitations.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
• Guides projects and project teams.
