Job summary

Enovix Corporation in Penang seeks a Principal Facilities Engineer to oversee all building-related activities and optimize space, equipment, and operating costs. You will guide maintenance, energy efficiency initiatives, and large-scale facility projects for a safe, productive workplace.

The role requires leadership, strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical and building services, and ability to manage contractors and regulatory compliance across manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Experience as a Facilities Engineer or similar in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, building services and utilities.
• Experience with facility expansion, upgrades and project delivery.
• Certifications such as DOE/DOSH Competent Person or High Voltage Chargeman are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee facilities installations, refurbishments, expansions, and improvements across mechanical, electrical, building, and utilities.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of critical facilities infrastructure including HVAC and utilities.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Monitor utilities consumption and implement energy efficiency initiatives to cut costs.
• Coordinate external contractors and vendors ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare performance reports, analyses, forecasts and project updates for management.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related engineering discipline

Facilities management experience in manufacturing environments

Leadership, communication and project management skills

Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Strong planning and organisational skills

Tools

DOE/DOSH Competent Person certification
