Lam Research in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage the facilities mechanical systems. In this role, you will ensure the reliability of mechanical systems including chillers and cooling towers, while managing system expansion projects.

As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you will lead and manage the facilities mechanical systems. You are the system owner responsible for ensuring the reliability of facilities, including mechanical systems such as chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, dryers, fire and life safety systems, and all cleanroom equipment. You will manage system expansion related to new projects, provide technical solutions for repair and maintenance work, oversee life‑cycle maintenance for owned systems, and coordinate the facilities operation management team. For new projects or expansions, you will work with consultants to design and commission new systems and will be required to work on improvement projects such as energy management and sustainability initiatives. You must coordinate and engage with cross‑functional teams through meetings and progressive measurement to deliver facilities operational excellence.
We are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about managing facilities for a semiconductor manufacturing operation and associated facilities. The ideal candidate must have experience in semiconductor operations, including cleanroom management, and strong communication, teamwork and leadership capabilities to manage a facilities team and multi‑layer contractors.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
