Job summary

Lam Research in Malaysia seeks a Facilities Services Manager to lead the design, planning, construction and maintenance of semiconductor facilities and related systems. You will oversee vendor performance, budgets, and safety standards to ensure efficient operation across the site.

The role requires a strong background in semiconductor facilities, cleanroom management, and proven leadership to manage multi-layer contractors and a diverse team in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent; 8+ years facilities management experience with outsourced service providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor relationships and ensure performance against facilities operations requirements.
• Lead the integrated facilities management team to maintain Cleanroom HVAC, chillers, air compressors, vacuum and electrical systems.
• Plan staffing and utilization of IFM resources, including overtime.
• Prepare operating budgets and variance reports; conduct financial analysis and prepare reports.

What You’ll Do

Manages vendor relationships and ensures vendors performance to facilities operations requirements. You will manage the integrated facilities management team to upkeep Cleanroom HVAC systems, chillers, air compressors, vacuum & HT/LV electrical systems etc. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of IFM resources, including overtime.

Responsible for facilities inspections and reports. Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports. Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for facility service and small projects. Prepares operating budget and variance reports.

Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding. Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, and corrective action. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with company values.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking for Facilities Services Manager who is passionate about managing semiconductor manufacturing operation and facilities associated. The ideal candidate must have semiconductor operation including cleanroom managing experience. We need strong skills in communication, teamwork & leadership capability to manage facilities team and multi-layer contractors.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of > 8 years facilities management experience in a position with direct management responsibility for the performance of outsourced facility service providers. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong management and organizational skills.
