Job summary

Lam Research in Kulim, Kedah is seeking aMgr, Facilities to lead design, planning, construction and maintenance of facilities and equipment. The role oversees budgets, policies and safety standards, coordinating space, communications and expansion, with emphasis on reliable operations and future growth.

You will manage a team of engineers and vendors, ensuring performance aligns with company values while steering health and safety programs and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of >10 years facilities management experience with direct management responsibility for outsourced facility service providers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for new and existing manufacturing with a team of engineers and facilities vendors.
• Manage the integrated facilities management team to upkeep Cleanroom HVAC systems, chillers, air compressors, vacuum & HT/LV electrical systems etc.
• Plans and monitors staffing levels and utilization of IFM resources, including overtime.
• Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.
• Conducts financial/ business analysis including preparation of reports and budget planning; reviews price quotes for procurement; handles cost center coding.

The impact you’ll make

Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function including developing engineering for future growth.

What you’ll do

Provied engineering support for new & existing manufacturing with a team of engineers and operation manager and facilities vendors. Manages vendor relationships and ensures vendors performance to facilities operations requirements. You will manage the integrated facilities management team to upkeep Cleanroom HVAC systems, chillers, air compressors, vacuum & HT/LV electrical systems etc. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of IFM resources, including overtime. Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.

Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports.Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for facility service and small projects. Prepares operating budget and variance reports. Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, and corrective action. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with companyvalues.

Who we’re looking for
