Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled Building Technician in Johor Bahru to maintain and operate building systems. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment, handle emergency repairs, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, the ability to read drawings, and strong communication to engage with occupants and management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire safety.
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Experience with diagnosing and repairing building equipment.
• Comfort with on-call maintenance and emergency response.
• Strong communication with occupants, contractors and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and service calls promptly.
• Diagnose malfunctions and determine repair or replacement actions.
• Conduct emergency repairs and provide on-call support to minimise disruptions.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and coordinate with external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
• Perform general upkeep and safe handling of tools and materials.
