Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Building Technician cum Handyman (Junior) to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents. You will join the maintenance team, performing routine inspections and maintenance of building systems to support a high standard of living.

The role involves inspecting electrical, plumbing, mechanical and building systems, carrying out minor repairs, and coordinating with external contractors.

Qualifications

• Certification in ACMV, Electrical, ELV, Plumbing or Building Services is an advantage.
• Experience in residential building, facilities maintenance or property management is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance.
• Basic air-conditioning servicing skills will be an added advantage.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Familiar with basic maintenance tools and equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).
• Good problem-solving, time management and customer service skills.
• Willing to be on standby for emergencies when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and building systems.
• Carry out minor repairs, including water pipe leaks and general maintenance works.
• Inspect electrical panels, pumps, water tanks, sump pits, ventilation fans and common area facilities.
• Monitor and coordinate with external contractors during servicing and maintenance works.
• Conduct weekly checks on lighting, timers and common area facilities to ensure everything is functioning properly.
• Record monthly water meter readings.
• Attend to reported maintenance issues, including unit leakage inspections.
• Assist with periodic security spot checks.
• Take turns supervising after-hours pest control fogging.
• Be on standby for emergency maintenance after office hours, weekends and public holidays when required.
