International F&B Store Development & Fit-Out Project Manager

Part-Time / Project-Based (Malaysia Based)

About Us

Join a fast-growing global tea beverage brand expanding across Southeast Asia and beyond.

We are looking for an experienced F&B Store Development & Fit-Out Project Manager to support our overseas store expansion projects. This role focuses on chain F&B store opening, interior fit-out, renovation, and project execution.

Candidates with experience managing store projects for brands such as Starbucks, McDonald’s, KFC, bubble tea brands, café chains, restaurants, or other franchise retail brands are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end F&B chain store development and fit-out projects, from site handover, renovation, construction, to store opening.
• Oversee retail store interior execution to ensure projects meet brand standards, quality requirements, and opening timelines.
• Coordinate with HQ teams including Design, Operations, Procurement, and Development teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Manage contractors, suppliers, vendors, and site teams throughout the entire fit-out process.
• Review shop drawings, layout plans, and technical documents to ensure accurate implementation on site.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress, workmanship quality, timeline, and budget control.
• Manage store fit-out works including:
• Flooring and ceiling works
• Carpentry and fabrication
• M&E coordination
• Coordinate with landlords, mall management, and relevant parties for store opening requirements and approvals.
• Support defect rectification, renovation, and maintenance works for existing stores.
• Ensure all projects comply with mall fit-out guidelines, local regulations, safety requirements, and brand standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in F&B chain store fit-out, retail store development, or commercial interior renovation projects.
• Must have hands-on experience in restaurant, café, beverage, or retail chain store opening projects.
• Experience with brands such as Starbucks, McDonald’s, KFC, bubble tea brands, fast food chains, or franchise store projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of store fit-out processes, interior works, mall requirements, shop drawings, and site execution.
• Candidates with only building construction, civil engineering, residential, infrastructure, or general construction experience without retail/F&B store fit-out experience will not be considered.
• Strong project management skills, including timeline management, cost control, contractor coordination, and quality assurance.
• Able to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia when required.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin for communication with HQ teams and local partners.
