Job summary

Ormond Group is seeking an F&B Assistant to support daily operations in our school canteens. You will greet students and staff, take orders, handle payments, and ensure clean, welcoming dining spaces.

The role requires friendly, service-oriented individuals with strong communication in English and the ability to work in a fast-paced school environment. Relevant certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and service-oriented.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must hold Food Handling Certificate and Typhoid Vaccination Certificate under Malaysian safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, present menus, and upsell.
• Answer questions about the menu.
• Take orders from students.
• Process payments and cashiering at each counter.
• Set up canteen counters and restock condiments.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas.
• Provide allergen information and assistance.
• Prepare hot or cold beverages.
• Multi-task across MSHS Canteen, MINUM, ES Café, and events.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by Operations Manager.

Job description

What Will You Do?

As an F&B Assistant, you will support the daily food and beverage operations to ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience for students, staff, and visitors.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Greet customers, present menus, and explain daily/weekly specials to students, faculty members, parents and perform upselling.
• Answer questions related to menu that we offered.
• Take food and beverage orders from students.
• Providing food and beverage to students and perform cashiering at each of the assigned counter.
• Prepare cutleries especially only for MINUM, ES Café & event setup.
• Prepare itemized bills and take payments from students/teachers.
• Set up canteen counter, dining areas, refill condiments, and stock replenishment.
• Clean drink preparation areas, facilities, or equipment. Such as sweeping and mopping floors, tidying up server station, taking out garbage.
• Ensure cleanliness of food service areas.
• Communicate well with the team to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction. Provide students / teacher with food allergen information or assistance.
• Prepare hot or cold beverages.
• Be able to multi task in facilities to include all MSHS Canteen Operation, MINUM, ES Café, and Event.
• Performs any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Operation Manager or Management

• Able to communicate in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Previous experience in food & beverage service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid Typhoid Vaccination Certificate and Food Handling Certificate in accordance with Malaysian food safety regulations
