Job summary

The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) is seeking a friendly F&B Assistant to support daily dining operations for students, staff and visitors. You will greet customers, take orders, upsell, cashier and maintain clean service areas across multiple dining venues on campus.

Ideal candidates are service-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable interacting with a diverse school community while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer care.

What Will You Do?

As an F&B Assistant, you will support the daily food and beverage operations to ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience for students, staff, and visitors.

Your responsibilities include:

• Greet customers, present menus, and explain daily/weekly specials to students, faculty members, parents and perform upselling.
• Answer questions related to menu that we offered.
• Take food and beverage orders from students.
• Providing food and beverage to students and perform cashiering at each of the assigned counter.
• Prepare cutleries especially only for MINUM, ES Café & event setup.
• Prepare itemized bills and take payments from students/teachers.
• Set up canteen counter, dining areas, refill condiments, and stock replenishment.
• Clean drink preparation areas, facilities, or equipment. Such as sweeping and mopping floors, tidying up server station, taking out garbage.
• Ensure cleanliness of food service areas.
• Communicate well with the team to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction. Provide students / teacher with food allergen information or assistance.
• Prepare hot or cold beverages.
• Be able to multi task in facilities to include all MSHS Canteen Operation, MINUM, ES Café, and Event.
• Performs any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Operation Manager or Management

Who Must You Be?

• Responsible, reliable, and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable interacting with students, staff, and members of the school community.
• Able to communicate in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Previous experience in food & beverage service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid Typhoid Vaccination Certificate and Food Handling Certificate in accordance with Malaysian food safety regulations
