Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Sdn Bhd is seeking an Experience Manufacturing Technician (Aerospace) to maintain and support RCCAs of Automated Test equipment during avionics production. You will leverage electrical and electronic test knowledge to diagnose issues, ensure equipment readiness, and uphold regulatory and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with test systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive reliability

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics or related Engineering.
• 1–3 years’ experience in Test equipment maintenance/repairs.
• IPC and CompTIA A+ certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and enhancements on test equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose test equipment issues independently.
• Calibrate and improve Instrument Measurement Test Equipment.
• Document maintenance, calibration and repairs.
• Provide technical support within Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Support for obsolescence upgrades of test equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve tester efficiency.
• Manage vendor repairs for critical test equipment.

Job Summary

The Experience Manufacturing Technician at “Honeywell Aerospace Avionics Malaysia Sdn Bhd” will be responsible for maintenance and effective RCCAs of Automated Test equipment issues encounter during manufacturing processes of Avionics products. This role requires skilled technician with background in electrical systems, as well as good experience in test equipment hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting. You will ensure that all Testing equipment operates efficiently and meets the necessary regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Equipment Preventive Maintenance Executions & Enhancements
• Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Test Equipment issues independently
• Calibration improvements of Instrument Measurement Test Equipment
• Documentation and Compliance on maintenance, calibration and repairs
• Technical Support and Guidance within Engineering and Manufacturing
• Proactive support for Test Equipment Obsolescence maintenance upgrades
• Strong collaboration with Engineering teams to enhance efficiency of Testers
• Effective vendor management in driving repairs of all critical test equipment

Qualifications for Internal Candidates

Qualifications

Education

Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics or related Engineering.

Experience

Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Test equipment maintenance/repairs.

Adequate skills of usage & maintenance of various Test equipment types.

Certifications

Relevant certifications (e.g., IPC, COMPTIA A+) are added advantages.

Skills Required

• Technical knowledge about Electrical or Electronic Test systems.
• Failure Analysis to fix Test Equipment hardware issues independently.
• Adequate written/verbal communication for cross-functional teamwork.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as required based on demand.
• Physical ability to be able to lift and move the Equipment and tools as needed.
• Building strong relationships with engineering contacts and Operations teams
