Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Advanced Manufacturing NPI Engineer to lead manufacturing activities for New Product Development within the APAC (Penang) site, with occasional support to global programs in the US.

You will drive tooling, cost and yield management, APQP artifacts, and coordinate with engineering, quality, sourcing to meet targets; a strong background in Electrical/Manufacturing engineering and project leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations.
• 5+ years of Project/Manufacturing Engineering leadership.
• Green belt certified; Black Belt/Lean/PMP a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communications in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing activities for Electrical New Product Development, mainly in APAC (Penang).
• Report status regularly to the Program Manager.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, GS&I to meet cost targets.
• Manage capital requests and tooling/equipment execution.
• Ensure APQP artifacts (Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA) are implemented.
• Coordinate with planner/engineer for first hardware production; monitor RTY and drive RCCA to RTY>96%.
• Ensure product cost meets greensheet targets before production.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibility

• Lead and directly manage all manufacturing activities for Electrical New Product Development mostly manufactured in APAC (Penang) with adhoc support to Global programs in US
• Report status regularly to Program Manager
• Partnering with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, GS&I to determine the best supply chain to meet manufacturing cost targets
• Manage capital request and execution for new tooling & equipment
• Ensure site implement all APQP artifacts (Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA,...)
• Coordinate with site planner & site manufacturing engineer for first hardware production batches. Monitor Yield (RTY) and drive RCCA to meet RTY>96%
• Ensure product cost meet greensheet target before going into production

You Must Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering discipline with 10 plus years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations
• Five plus years of Project Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering leadership experience
• Strong understanding of general principles of electrical design and manufacturing processes. Be able to evaluate engineering designs for producibility, cost, and quality.
• Green belt certified; Black Belt, Lean Expert, or PMP certified will be a plus
• self-motivated & self starter, ability to generate own new opportunities/ideas in complex organizations and drive projects to success.
• Professional written and verbal communications skills in English

We Value

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Hands-on manufacturing shop-floor experience is a plus)
• Solid understanding of the cost structure of typical manufacturing processes of electrical/mechanical products (Printed Circuit Board, Printed Circuit Board Assembly, Cable harness, electrical unit assembly and test, machining, casting)
• Effective global communication, presentation, leadership, teaming and people skills.
• Cross-functional working experience between multi-site environments.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, high degree of focus on quality of work product.
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple project/programs with limited and shared resources.
