Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Penang is seeking a Security Specialist to assist the Security Manager in investigations and to ensure corrective actions close identified gaps across the operation. You will train contract security personnel, enforce SOPs, monitor CCTV and access controls, and support safety and health initiatives, incident reporting, and compliance with the Security Manual and OSH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists Security Manager/Executive in investigation and ensure the implementation of the agreed corrective actions to close all the identified gaps.
• Conduct training for contract security personnel to ensure understanding of job scope, procedures and equipment per Security Manual.
• Ensure SOPs are adhered to by all parties in the operation area.
• Conduct spot checks and observations to ensure contract security personnel discharge their responsibilities per Security Manual and guidelines.
• Maintaining all records related to Security & Safety Activities.
• Read and compile security incident reports and brief Security Manager/Executive on threats.
• Inspect and compile all quality documents prepared by Contract Security.
• Prepare monthly summary of activities/KPI for Security Service Provider.
• Monitor staff activities via CCTV and Card Access reports.
• Review CCTV recordings and report suspicious activities.
• Review Card Access and maintain records of actions taken for discrepancies.
• Perform any other duties as directed by Security Superior.
• Conduct monthly Gemba Walk with PEN stations representatives.
• Inspect all first aid boxes & fire safety equipment for PEN stations.
• Assist in safety & health matters for PEN stations.
• Assist in incident investigation & reporting for PEN stations.
• Assist in Safety & Health committee meetings.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with OSH legislations and regulations.
• Organize and conduct safety-related activities e.g., audits, trainings, risk assessments.
• Support in driving the Company’s OHS Objectives, Targets and Programs approved by Management.
• Assist in the creation of Safety Work Procedures.
• Assist in implementing supplier's management program to check Supplier's compliance to safety & security regulations and work procedures

Job description

• Ensure SOPs are been adhere with by all parties involved in the area of operation.
• Conduct spot check and made observation to ensure all contract security personnel discharging their responsibilities in accordance to the Security Manual and other security guidelines.
• Maintaining all records related to Security & Safety Activities.
