Job summary

Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Research and Development Executive to design and develop new products and processes in Malaysia. You will seek suitable raw materials and packaging for development, and plan materials for product development, arranging samples for sales or customer requests.

You will conduct periodic product analysis, sensory evaluation, shelf life testing, and optimization studies, updating specifications to meet food standards, and coordinating production trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of experience in the food industry.
• Able to communicate effectively and work independently.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products and processes.
• Seek suitable raw materials and packaging for development.
• Work on material planning and arrange samples as per requests.
• Conduct periodic product analysis, sensory evaluation, and shelf life tests.
• Update specifications to comply with food standards.
• Arrange and conduct production trials at the factory.
• Participate in creating, launching, and implementing new products.
• Benchmark and test competitors to gain market insights.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by superiors.

To update documents such as specification in accordance to food standard

To arrange and conduct production trial run at factory

To participate in benchmarking and testing competitive produces to gain relevant information

To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science/Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent

At least 3 or 4 years working experience in food industry.

Able to work independently, passion and creative towards product development

Able to communicate effectively and possess basic computer knowledge

Possess own transport, willing to travel when needed.
