Job summary

SME Bank Malaysia is seeking a Relationship Management Executive at the Kuching Enterprise Centre to develop SME financing solutions. You will market and evaluate credit needs, propose bank products, and ensure compliant end-to-end relationship management with customers across the network.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, plus 1 year of SME banking experience. Excellent interpersonal and analytical abilities are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Ability to structure financial solutions for SME customers.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of the Malaysian business environment.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and data.

Responsibilities

• Marketing, solicit and credit evaluation for the network/business units.
• Propose suitable Bank’s products to fit customers’ business needs.
• Comply with internal and external standards, risk and compliance requirements in all financing activities.
• Provide end-to-end customer relationship management including monitoring legal documentation until disbursement.
• Plan, manage and monitor collection and post disbursement activities including conduct of Annual Review.
• Manage changes to terms of financing pre and post disbursement.
• Ensure full compliance to all set external and internal rules, policies and client charters.
• Ensure that competency and motivation of staff in the region are kept at the highest level.
• To ensure staffs to comply and report on AMLA, frauds and defalcations breaches of Employee Code Of Conduct, robberies & burglaries and any other matters deemed required.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Marketing, solicit and credit evaluation for the network/business units.

• Monitoring the completion of legal documentation, collection of Condition Precedent until disbursement of the financing.
• Plan, manage and monitor collection and post disbursement activities including conduct of Annual Review.
• Manage request for changes to terms of financing (pre and post disbursement).
• Ensure full compliance to all set external and internal rules, policies, standard operating procedures and client charters.
• Ensure that competency and motivation of staff in the region are kept at the highest level.
• To ensure staffs to comply and report on Anti Money Laundering (AMLA), frauds and defalcations (including attempted frauds) breaches of Employee Code Of Conduct, robberies & burglaries and any other matters deemed required from time to time.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 1 year working experience in SME financing or Commercial banking would be preferred.
• Ability to structure financial solutions and packaging to SME.
• Good interpersonal, negotiations and analytical skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the business environment and Malaysian economy.
• Ability to analyse and understand financial statement and data.
