Job summary

Kayaku Safety Systems (M) Sdn Bhd in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to support sourcing, supplier evaluation and purchase order execution. You will coordinate deliveries, maintain pricing data and ensure timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will conduct market analyses, negotiate terms on price, specifications and lead times, and pursue cost reduction while maintaining supply continuity. Prior experience in materials procurement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and optimize inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, evaluate and select preferred raw materials and machinery parts suppliers.
• Effective negotiation of all aspects of supply contracts including required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, warranty and payment terms.
• Conduct regular market research and analyses to stay ahead of input demand, supply, competitive and price trends.
• Develop and execute inventory monitoring and optimization programs.
• Responsible for the preparation and process of purchase orders. Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure items are delivered on time.
• Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
• Ensure accurate, timely completion of all required and necessary reporting.
• Conduct continuous cost reduction activity with effective planning.
• Undertake other necessary functions as determined from time to time by the superior.
