Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test and deploy software and applications to meet business objectives under IT initiatives. You will contribute to upgrades, research and planning to align with compliance and user needs.

The role requires a IT/CS/Software Eng degree and at least two years in software engineering; familiarity with full-stack development or data engineering is preferred, along with strong SQL skills and SDLC knowledge. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT/CS/Software Engineering.
• 2+ years in software engineering or related field.
• Experience in full-stack development or data engineering preferred.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases (MS SQL / MySQL).
• Familiar with SDLC and development tools.

Design, development, testing, and deployment of software & application to meet business objective under organization’s IT projects & initiatives.

Support & maintenance (2nd Level SLA) of software & application to ensure organization’s Business As Usual (BAU).

Upgrade of software & application to meet user’s & compliance requirements.

Research, design & planning for software & application to fulfil business requirement & organization objective.

Requirements

Degree in Information Technology (IT)/ Computer Science/ Software Engineering or related field.

Minimum two (2) years’ working experience in Software Engineering or related field, with at least one (1) year of experience in IT-related projects.

Experience in fullstack development or data engineering is preferred.

Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Must be proficient in SQL & Relational Database (MS SQL / MySQL or equivalent)

Familiar with software development life cycle (SLDC) and software development tools (IDE, text editor, SQL management tool, source code control, etc.)

Familiar with web development technologies, standards & protocols.
