Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Executive, IT (Infrastructure & Security) to lead and support the organization's IT backbone, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across systems and networks.

You will balance hands-on operations with strategic planning, manage vendors, ensure policy compliance, and drive continuous improvement in IT services to support digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Networking is required.
• Strong documentation and paperwork skills for approval papers and procurement documents.
• Technical proficiency in networking (WAN, LAN, VLAN, WLAN, switching, routing, cabling).
• Basic knowledge of network security, monitoring tools, and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily IT operational activities, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and incident management.
• Plan, organize, implement and monitor IT CAPEX and OPEX for the team.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with vendors to select hardware and software while ensuring long-term value.
• Manage IT resources, ensuring all hardware and software are maintained, updated and optimized for performance.
• Ensure IT service delivery meets KPIs and complies with internal IT Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain all IT infrastructure and security equipment under the IT Infrastructure & Security Team.
• Respond to IT incidents and service requests within the targeted SLA timelines.
• Implement corrective and preventive measures to reduce recurring system, network or hardware issues.

You will play a key role in managing and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. This role typically involves both hands-on technical work and strategic planning to support business operations and digital transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

Handle daily IT operational activities, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, incident management and problem resolution.

Plan, organize, implement and monitor IT CAPEX and OPEX for the team.

Source, evaluate and negotiate with vendors to select appropriate hardware and software while ensuring long-term value and minimizing premature obsolescence.

Manage IT resources, ensuring all hardware and software are maintained, updated and optimized for performance.

Ensure IT service delivery meets KPIs and complies with internal IT Policies and Procedures.

Manage documentation, administration and purchasing activities related to IT equipment, software, and service contracts.

Maintain all IT infrastructure and security-related equipment under the IT Infrastructure & Security Team.

Respond to IT incidents and service requests within the targeted internal/external SLA timelines.

Implement corrective and preventive measures to reduce recurring system, network or hardware issues.

Job Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Networking or similar.

Strong in documentation & paperwork, especially preparation of approval papers, technical proposals and procurement documents.

Technical proficiency in networking – WAN, LAN, VLAN, WLAN, switching, routing, structured cabling, basic configuration & troubleshooting.

Basic knowledge of network security, monitoring tools, network optimization and industry best practices.

Strong attention to detail with excellent diagnostic skills.

Analytical thinking and strong case management skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for user interaction and vendor management.

High competency in administration and documentation, particularly for technical reports and approval papers.
