Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd is seeking an IT Data Governance Specialist to master data across our FMCG operations. You will align stakeholders on data standards, enforce SOPs, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure secure, standardized, and high-quality data throughout the organization.

You will drive governance, quality, security, and integration initiatives, while continually seeking improvements to support supply chain and product launches with minimal disruption.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in a related field (CS/IT/Data Management/Analytics/SC) and at least 2 years in data management within FMCG.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify data bottlenecks and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Data Governance & Compliance: enforce master data policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Management: define and monitor data standards for products, inventory, and supply chain.
• Data Security: oversee security measures for sensitive data with IT Security partners.
• Integration & Migration: lead data migration and system integration projects with minimal disruption.
• Continuous Improvement: review and optimize data processes to meet changing business needs.

We are looking for a IT Data Governance Specialist to be the gatekeeper of our Master Data, ensuring every piece of information across our organization is secure, standardized, and seamless.

The Mission

Your role is to ensure our "Data DNA" is flawless. You will align stakeholders on master data standards, enforce strict SOPs, and collaborate across departments to ensure our data requirements are met with the highest security and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance & Compliance: Be the guardian of our policies. Ensure all Master Data creation adheres to internal SOPs, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Quality Management: Establish and monitor data standards for products, inventory, and supply chain. You’ll be the one proactively fixing bottlenecks before they impact the business.

Data Security: Protect our "secret sauce." Oversee security measures for sensitive product formulations, pricing, and customer data in partnership with IT Security.

Integration & Migration: Lead the charge on data migration and integration projects, streamlining the flow of information across our systems with zero disruption to operations.

Continuous Improvement: Don't just follow the SOP, try to improve it. You will constantly review processes to keep them sharp and aligned with evolving business needs.

Who You Are

You are a methodical professional who understands the dynamics of the FMCG industry. You bring:

Educational Foundation: A Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Management, Business Analytics, or Supply Chain.

Industry Expertise: At least 2 years of experience in data management (Governance, Quality, or Integration), ideally within the FMCG sector.

Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in ERP systems, workflow processes, and advanced MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint).

Analytical Mindset: A sharp eye for identifying data bottlenecks and a track record of driving operational improvements.

Collaborative Spirit: A team player who can communicate complex data requirements to both professional peers and external vendors.
