Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre is seeking an Executive for International Business Development to coordinate medical triage, provide information on specialist availability, and assist patients with appointments. The role bridges clinical advice with patient service and international business opportunities.

You will liaise with SunMed departments and partners, support direct and referred business development, and report patient feedback to the International Business Development team.

Qualifications

• MBBS degree required; pursuing non-clinical roles.
• Annual Practising Certificate from MOH is mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year in healthcare or medical tourism.
• Strong communication in English; multilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical triage assistantship in person, email, or WhatsApp.
• Inform on Specialist Doctors availability and help schedule appointments.
• Advise patients on procedures and expected inpatient stay when relevant.
• Liaise between customers, SunMed service departments, and partners.
• Support new and existing business development of direct and referred.
• Provide timely reports on medical inquiries and patient feedback.

Executive, International Business Development

Provides medical triage assistance either in person, emails or WhatsApp includes assessment of medical symptoms in order to recommend the appropriate specialist Doctor.

Provide general information such as Specialist Doctors availability and assist the client or patient to make the necessary appointments.

Provide special information to patient, RO/agent on the appropriate doctors, the type of procedure that will be necessary and the likely length of in patient stay (where appropriate).

Serve as a liaison between the customer and patient, and the appropriate SunMed service departments/ Customer Care Associates/ international agent or any business partner.

Assist with new and existing business development of direct and referred.

Provide timely report to International Business Development on Medical enquiries and Patients' feedback.

Job Requirement:

Possess medical degree (MBBS) who are interested in pursuing non-clinical career opportunities.

Has valid Annual Practicing Certificate from from the relevant Ministry of Health.

Minimum 1 years’ working experience in healthcare or medical tourism services.

Demonstrate tenacity and integrity, have the ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.

Possess good communication skills (speaking and writing) in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesian, Mandarin, or any other languages would be advantageous.
