Job summary

IOI Corporation Berhad is seeking an Audit professional to execute risk-based internal, financial and compliance audits in line with the annual plan. You will assess governance, risk management and internal controls and advise on process improvements.

The role requires 2+ years in auditing, strong English communication and the ability to travel as needed. A degree in accounting/finance or related fields and membership in a professional body are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/Professional qualifications in Accountancy, Finance, Business Studies or Economics, and a member of professional accountancy bodies or IIA.
• Minimum 2 years experience in internal and/or external auditing.
• Strong analytical, auditing and report-writing abilities with good understanding of business processes and internal controls.
• Excellent English, interpersonal skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based operational, financial and compliance audits per annual audit plan.
• Provide assurance on governance, risk management and internal control effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality management systems and laws and regulations.
• Provide consultancy on improvements in business processes and internal controls.
• Carry out special reviews, investigations and ad hoc assignments as requested.
• Travel extensively as required.

Job description

Responsible for conducting risk-based operational, financial and compliance audits based on annual audit plan approved by the Audit Committee.

Provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the governance, risk management and internal control systems.

Ensure compliance with the standard operating policies and procedures, quality management systems and laws and regulations.

Provide consultancy and advisory services on areas for improvements in business processes, internal controls and operational efficiencies.

To carry out special review, investigations and other ad hoc assignments, as and when requested by the management.

Job Requirements:

Degree/Professional qualifications in Accountancy, Finance, Business Studies or Economics and a member of professional accountancy bodies or Institute of Internal Auditors.

Minimum of 2 years working experience in internal and/or external auditing.

Possess good analytical and auditing skills and must be able to demonstrate good understanding of the business, accounting processes and internal controls.

Results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and willing to travel extensively.

Good interpersonal and communication skills and excellent command of English and report writing.
