Job summary

DKSH Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Executive General Ledger Accounting to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records within the Finance BPO function, contributing to timely month-end closes and reliable business decisions across the organisation.

You will handle GL entries, intercompany charges, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, GRIR clearance, and collaborate with AR, AP, Treasury, and country Finance teams to drive process improvements and GL migration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in GL, auditing, and R2R processes.
• Foundational knowledge of local and international accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate GL entries and monthly closing.
• Own intercompany accounting including SLA charges and recharges.
• Post bank entries and perform month-end bank reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet analysis and reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset ledger and asset accounting.
• Review GR/IR items and clear outstanding items.
• Collaborate with AR, AP, Treasury and country Finance teams.
• Identify process improvements in GL accounting.
• Support GL migration and transformation projects.
• Administrative duties as required.

About the Role

As a General Ledger Accounting Executive, you are at the heart of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of DKSH's financial records within the Finance Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) function. You contribute directly to timely and accurate month-end financial close processes that enable confident business decision-making across the organization.

What You Will Deliver

• Ensure timely and accurate execution of all General Ledger (GL) entries and monthly closing activities, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
• Own the end-to-end intercompany accounting process, including monthly Service Level Agreement (SLA) charges and intercompany expense recharges, while reconciling Intercompany Balance Sheet (IC BS) and Intercompany Profit and Loss (IC PL) differences with counterparts within agreed timelines.
• Post bank entries accurately and deliver timely month-end bank reconciliation to support financial completeness and control.
• Prepare comprehensive balance sheet analysis and reconciliation, enabling sound financial oversight and reporting accuracy.
• Manage the fixed asset ledger and asset accounting to ensure proper recording, tracking, and reporting of the organization's asset base.
• Review Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) items and drive timely clearance by proactively liaising with stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
• Collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury, and country Finance teams to support seamless month-end closing activities.
• Continuously identify and surface process improvement opportunities that enhance the efficiency and quality of the General Ledger Accounting function.
• Contribute to GL-related migration and transformation projects, supporting the organization's continuous improvement agenda.
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.

What You Bring

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, with exposure to auditing, General Ledger accounting, and Record to Report (R2R) processes.
• Foundational knowledge and practical application of local and international accounting standards, principles, and practices.
• Strong research and analytical capabilities that enable accurate financial analysis and effective problem resolution.
