Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia seeks a dynamic pharmaceutical sales professional to grow our regional footprint. You will drive sales, build relationships with pharmacists, doctors, and hospital buyers, and promote our portfolio of prescription, OTC, and GSL products.

In this role you will identify opportunities, manage orders and inventories, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve targets while ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Science (Health / Life), Pharmacy, Nursing, Economics, or related field / Diploma with 3-5 years working experience.
• Professional Qualification: 1–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, wholesale, or B2B sales.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency; Mandarin / Cantonese an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within territory.

Responsibilities

• Sales Target Achievement: Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
• CRM: Build and maintain relationships with pharmacists, doctors, hospital purchasing managers, and healthcare providers.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cold-call potential clients, and expand client base within territory.
• Product Promotion & Portfolio Management: Promote pharmaceutical products and manage hospital formularies.
• Order & Inventory Management: Process orders, coordinate stock availability and delivery; monitor stock levels at customer sites.
• Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor competitor activities, pricing, products, and market trends; submit market intelligence reports.
• Collection Management: Follow up on outstanding payments and reconcile accounts.
• Cross Functional: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
• Sales Report: Prepare and submit sales reports and related documents.
• Other Responsibilities: Participate in new services introduced by the organization.
• Policy Compliance: Adhere to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2015, and GDPMD standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Build and maintain relationships with pharmacists, doctors, hospital purchasing managers, and healthcare providers.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cold-call potential clients, and expand the client base within a specific territory.
• Product Promotion & Portfolio Management: Provide product information and promote pharmaceutical products (prescription, OTC, GSL), explain features, and manage product listings (formularies) in hospitals.
• Order & Inventory Management: Process customer orders, coordinate availability of stock and delivery. Monitor stock levels at customers site to prevent stock-outs or overstocking, and handle expiration management.
• Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor competitor activities, pricing, products, market developments and market trends; submit regular market intelligence reports to management.
• Collection Management: Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
• Cross Functional: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
• Sales Report: Prepare and submit sales reports and other sales-related documents
• Other Responsibilities: To participate actively in any other new service that is introduced by the organization.

Job Requirement

• Education: Minimum Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Science (Health / Life), Pharmacy, Nursing, Economics, or related field / Diploma with 3-5 years working experience in related field.
• Professional Qualification: Knowledge and Experiences: – 1–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, wholesale, or B2B sales.
• Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards. Self-driven, results-oriented, ability to work independently and able to work under pressure.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin / Cantonese will be an advantage).
• Other: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
