Job summary

Teleport, Southeast Asia's #1 integrated logistics provider, is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage AR cycles, ensure timely invoicing and collections, and support monthly closings.

You will maintain ledger integrity, assist treasury and cash management, and prepare routine financial reports and SOP documentation. Experience with SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks and Excel is preferred; strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of MFRS/IFRS revenue recognition principles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication skills for customer and internal stakeholder interactions.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day management of accounts receivable cycles, ensuring invoices are processed, verified, and settled per payment terms and company policies.
• Maintain ledger integrity by recording and auditing journal entries and ensuring spend is correctly categorized in financial dashboards.
• Assist in the technical coordination of the month‑end closing process with reconciliations (bank, intercompany, vendor).
• Support treasury and cash management tasks, including fund transfers and FX documentation.
• Prepare routine financial reports (weekly spend trackers, aging reports) and maintain up‑to‑date finance SOP documentation.

A DAY IN LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• Execute Financial Workflows: Lead the day-to-day management of accounts receivable (AR) cycles, ensuring all invoices are processed, verified, and settled according to strict payment terms and company policies
• Maintain Ledger Integrity: Responsible for the systematic recording and auditing of journal entries, ensuring all marketing and operational spend is correctly categorized and flows accurately into central financial dashboards
• Support Monthly Closing: Assist in the technical coordination of the month-end closing process, ensuring all reconciliations (bank, intercompany, and vendor) are completed with extreme attention to detail and zero manual errors
• Treasury & Cash Management Support: Monitor daily bank balances and assist in executing routine treasury tasks, including fund transfers and foreign exchange documentation, ensuring optimal cash positioning
• Reporting & Documentation: Assist in the preparation of routine financial reports (e.g., weekly spend trackers, aging reports); maintain up-to-date documentation for finance SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role
• Strong understanding of MFRS/IFRS revenue recognition principles
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
• Excellent communication skills for customer and internal stakeholder interactions
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Preferred (But Not Compulsory Skills)

• Experience in shared services or multinational companies
• Knowledge of GST/SST/VAT and sales tax compliance in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, India and China
• Familiarity with collection strategies and dispute resolution
