Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio in Bayan Lepas, Penang, seeks an Event Executive to coordinate, plan and execute a broad range of events on-site. You will liaise with clients, manage budgets, schedules and vendor coordination to deliver memorable experiences for diverse guests and corporate clients.

The role requires 2–3 years in event coordination within hospitality, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong communication and organisational skills to handle multiple events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of proven experience in event coordination, event management or similar role within hospitality.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with confidence in liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue setup, catering arrangements, audiovisual requirements and technical specifications.
• Liaise with clients to understand event objectives, budgets and specific requirements, ensuring clear communication throughout planning.
• Manage event timelines, checklists and contingency plans to ensure seamless delivery on the day of the event.
• Collaborate with internal departments including sales, catering, housekeeping and maintenance to meet event needs.
• Oversee on-site event operations, including guest registration, crowd management and real‑time problem solving.
• Maintain detailed event documentation, contracts and records for future reference and analysis.
• Monitor event budgets and expenses to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
• Gather client feedback post-event and implement improvements for future engagements.
• Support the sales team with event proposals, site inspections and presentations to potential clients.

This is a full-time position based on-site at our property, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional event experiences for our guests and clients. As an Event Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning and executing a diverse range of events, from corporate conferences and weddings to social gatherings and private functions.
