Job summary

TAT IT Technolgies is seeking an ETL Software Tester / QA Engineer in Malaysia. The role involves ensuring quality and performance of software through manual and automated testing, across web and mobile apps, within an agile SDLC.

You will work with developers, analysts and product owners to analyze requirements, design test plans, execute tests, and track defects using Postman for API testing and basic SQL validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ETL testing and QA.
• Experience with manual and automated testing strategies.
• Familiarity with SDLC and agile frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and identify testing requirements.
• Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing.
• Execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile apps.
• Identify and track defects; re-test after fixes and perform regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve issues.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Run basic SQL queries for data validation and database checks.
• Maintain QA documentation, evidence, and reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and CI/CD testing.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented ETL Software Tester / QA Engineer to join our technology team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, functionality, and performance of software applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing.

The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and identify testing requirements.
• Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.
• Execute manual and automated test cases across web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
• Re-test defects after fixes and perform regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools.
• Perform database validation and basic SQL queries.
• Maintain testing documentation, test evidence, and QA reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and defect review meetings.
• Support CI/CD testing activities and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Ensure software releases meet defined quality and acceptance criteria.
