Job summary

Luxoft in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced ETL/Data Warehouse Developer to join a new technology centre supporting a leading bank across Asia Pacific. You will design, develop and maintain Informatica ETL workflows, support GDW data services, optimize queries, and participate in SIT/UAT testing as well as production deployments.

Collaboration with global teams is expected. Required 3–5 years in ETL/DW, strong Informatica, Oracle/SQL Server skills, and solid SQL with Linux/Windows

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in ETL and data warehouse development.
• Hands-on Informatica ETL experience.
• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.
• Shell scripting experience.
• Working knowledge of AS400, Linux, and Windows OS environments.
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• 1. ETL Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems
  • Develop reusable ETL components and mappings
• 2. Data Warehouse Support
  • Work on Global Data Warehouse (GDW) systems
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and availability
  • Support enhancements and change requests
  • Write and optimize SQL queries (Oracle / SQL Server)
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation
  • Handle large volumes of structured data
• 4. Performance Optimization
  • Optimize ETL jobs for better performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in ETL and database queries
• 5. Testing & Deployment
  • Participate in SIT/UAT testing cycles
  • Validate data accuracy and transformation logic
  • Support deployment and release activities
• 6. Production Support
  • Provide L2 support for ETL and data warehouse issues
  • Troubleshoot job failures and data discrepancies
  • Work with cross-functional teams for issue resolution

Mandatory Skills Description

• 3-5 years of experience in ETL / Data Warehouse development
• Strong hands-on experience in Informatica ETL
• Good experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
• Experience in Shell scripting
• Working knowledge of Operating Systems: AS400, Linux, and Windows environments
