Job summary

ERM in Malaysia is seeking a Junior ESG Analyst/Consultant to support ESG advisory and sustainability projects under senior guidance. You will develop reporting, benchmarking, and data analysis to turn climate ambition into action across APAC, collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The role emphasizes strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, English communication, and the ability to prepare dashboards, data tables, and proposals within agreed timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: 2–4 years in ESG consulting, sustainability reporting, or related roles.
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; exposure to data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of ESG advisory projects, aligning with client objectives.
• Contribute to sustainability and climate projects, including reporting and GHG inventories.
• Prepare sustainability reports, data tables, dashboards, and presentation materials.
• Conduct ESG research, benchmarking, and gap analysis on frameworks (GRI, IFRS S1/S2, CDP).
• Support stakeholder engagement through project documents, interviews or surveys, and feedback summaries.
• Collect, validate, and analyze environmental data for dashboards, reports, and presentations.
• Perform basic qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform project findings.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain clear documentation.
• Assist with drafting proposals and supporting marketing or business-development activities.
• Deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines to meet client expectations.
