Job summary

EY Malaysia is seeking an Assurance professional for ESG at Manager/Senior Manager level to lead ESG assurance engagements, evaluate ESG practices, and provide clients with credible sustainability reporting assurance.

You will collaborate with clients, manage multiple projects, develop internal methodologies, and participate in business development. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and knowledge of ESG frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a finance related field or engineering/sustainability/economics/business.
• Minimum 5 years in financial assurance or climate advisory services.
• Solid understanding of assurance standards and frameworks.
• Familiarity with IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, GHG accounting and related topics.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; data manipulation and visualization a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with data-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and verify ESG practices of organizations.
• Conduct assessments, audits, and reviews for ESG standards and frameworks.
• Verify accuracy of ESG data and disclosures.
• Collaborate with clients on ESG goals and reporting readiness.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
• Develop action plans to address ESG gaps and risks.
• Contribute to internal ESG methodologies and tools.
• Coordinate workshops and training on ESG topics for clients and teams.
• Manage multiple engagements with timely delivery and quality.
