KPMG in Malaysia's ESG Assurance team is seeking candidates passionate about sustainability, data integrity, and independent verification.

You will review ESG reports, analyze data, and engage with management and regulators to validate information and support assurance reports aligned with GRI, IR, SASB, and IFRS standards. This role offers broad exposure across industries and a focus on governance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates who have completed their degree studies, candidates pursuing professional qualifications, or experienced professionals are all welcome to apply
• Efficient and highly effective work ethic, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (typically three or more at a time)
• Ability to contribute to high‑quality project deliverables while supporting team development

Responsibilities

• Review ESG reports, policies, data, and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with relevant standards and regulations
• Analyze environmental, social, and governance data for consistency, relevance, and reliability
• Engage with management, data owners, investors, regulators, and suppliers to gather insights and validate ESG information
• Prepare ESG Assurance reports that inform stakeholder and investment decisions
• Identify opportunities to strengthen sustainability practices, controls, and governance
• Assess alignment with frameworks such as GRI, IR, SASB, IFRS S1 & S2
• Support year‑on‑year ESG performance monitoring and assessments
• Stay informed on evolving ESG regulations and reporting requirements
